Twardy 2.0 Devlog #1


Twardy 2.0 has just started going into production, and I have already made the first version (0.0.1).  Production has and might be slow the entire time, but that's mainly because this game is coming out on November 22nd of next year. (11/22 was when I created Twardy.) Versions 0.0.1 - 0.0.3 will act like foundations for the game.

So far, there are 5 actions your can do in the game:

  1. Walking
  2. Picking up items
  3. Dropping items
  4. Planting seeds
  5. Punching (this will be important in a future update.)

As mentioned, unlike the original Twardy, Twardy 2.0 has only 1 seed and 2 fruits (for now). The 2 fruits are apples and bananas. I plan on there being seed tiers, from Tier 0 to Tier 5.

There is also a leaderboard for score in Twardy 2. Every time you pick-up an item or plant a seed, your score goes up by 50. For now, there is no way to lose score.

The last thing I want to say is that there is now only ONE inventory slot, instead of the usual 6. The reason of this is because I wanted to make the inventory slots automatic, but 6 was too hard to code. If you wanted a different item, you would have to drop the current item you have. Don't worry, though, since you can have up to an infinite amount of one item.
