Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game - May 2025


Hello, I'm 99 Studios, and I am here with a big announcement along with the third Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game post. Twardy 2.0 is going to have some major changes over the month.

First and most importantly, Twardy 2.0 is going to have public playtesting for versions 0.0.3 and on. With public playtesting, I can have access to a larger audience and get more feedback for my game. I will make a post in the Twardy 2.0 devlog going more in-depth on this topic in the future.

I have removed the skill tree mechanic from the game, and for good reason. The skill tree wasn't needed, and it didn't go with the retro vibe I was trying to do. Sorry to that one person who was waiting for the skill tree.

I am finally adding ruins (destroyed structures) to Twardy 2.0. In ruins, there will be notes full of lore and a special creature that I will reveal in a later post in the Twardy 2.0 devlog. I've had this idea since February, but I didn't know how to implement it into the game until now, hence explaining why 0.0.3 has been in development for so long (2+ months).

Lastly, if you have any ideas or feedback about the game or any devlog posts, please post them in the brand-new Twardy 2.0 Community. This brand-new community has been tweaked to make everything suited for Twardy 2.0 players.
